You should get some of your mom's recipes and experiment! We also do Story of the World (although we're taking a break from it right now) We listen to the books on CD, and then do the activity pages, etc. It is easy and interesing, isn't it? The book Material World (and probably Hungry Planet too) is wonderful. You might want to see if your library has it. It does a beautiful job of showing just how blessed we, in the US, really are. I'm always struck with how little people really need, compared to how much they (we) have! Your soap making looks like fun… You should get some of your mom’s recipes and experiment!
