We watched our science “video” this morning. I picked an animal we learned about to study further this week.
I’d like to make a unit study of the lion, but I need some ideas and suggestions. What do you do when you do a unit study? I’ll hit the library for books, use the internet for more information. Am I leaving anything out?

I like to use the Enchanted Learning website for materials for my unit studies. Also, I usually check out WAY more books on the subject than I expect to use, just to make sure I have some extras in case one or more of the books doesn’t work out. I also try to incorporate lots of hand’s on work in our unit studies… science experiments, observations, etc. You might also look at Hands of a Child website. They have wonderful lapbook/unit study plans available, on a variety of topics, for not much money. Also, if you register at the homeschool estore online, they’ll send you periodic email newsletters and each one has a free download.. usually of lapbook or notebooking pages and plans.
Good luck with the unit study, let me know how it goes…
